Our market-leading computer vision is the foundation for Simbe’s ability to decode and localize product information, extracting business-critical insights for our dozens of customers globally. For the above reasons, product marketing plays an especially important role in differentiating & selling the Simbe Store Intelligence ™ platform – and establishing category leadership. Retail is becoming aware of our early adopters’ tremendous results shifting market attitudes, so we’re looking to hire our first product marketer!
As Simbe’s head of product marketing, you will report to the SVP of Market and scale product marketing maturity from the ground up. This position requires a unique combination of technical knowledge, effective communication & cross-functional collaboration, and messaging & content creation expertise – as well as proven success thriving in fast-paced environments as a player-coach, preferably in retail and robotics.
FIRST 3 MONTHS
- Create baseline product marketing collateral
- Update and enhance existing competitive audit materials
- Develop content for specific ICP personas & segments to support campaigns and enable sales
- Begin leading website expansion, adding new and up-leveling existing pages
6 MONTHS
- Craft messaging & product names to crisply differentiate Simbe’s platform, solutions, features
- Partner with leadership to programmatically enable sales via magnetic content & training that attracts, engages, converts & keeps customers
- Own & execute a competitive intelligence program that informs leadership & GTM teams and influences Simbe’s product roadmap
- Work with the VP of Customer Success to share the voice of the customer with necessary teams and craft customer journey content
- Partner with technical teams to hone product roadmap
9-12 MONTHS
- Work with executives and product experts to develop new pricing & packaging – as well as needed GTM amplification strategies
- Partner with web and Rev Ops to develop innovative tests that accelerate our prospect & customer funnels
- Discuss organizational design possibilities for team expansion
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years in product marketing, specifically
- 10+ years in B2B marketing, B2B2C experience a plus
- Retail and robotics experience is strongly preferred
- Strong technical writing chops
- Experience with direct reports and managing external contractors
- Deep relationship management expertise across GTM and technical teams
- Proven success in a “first in the department” role in a growth environment
- Experience with account-based experience go-to-market motions
- Player-coach approach
