About the role
The Director, FP&A plays a key role in driving financial planning, analysis and strategy to support our business objectives. This position reports directly to the CFO and requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities, leadership skills and a deep understanding of financial management within the medical device industry.
How you'll make an impact
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support forecasting, scenario analysis, and decision-making.
- Lead the decentralized annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and achievable financial plans.
- Monitor performance against budget and forecasts, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Provide insightful analysis of financial data, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
- Conduct ROI analysis for capital investments, new product initiatives, and business development opportunities.
- Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly/quarterly financial statements, variance analysis and executive summaries.
- Communicate financial insights and recommendations effectively to senior leadership, board members and external stakeholders.
- Manage financial analysts, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.
On your first day we'd like you to have
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in financial planning, analysis and strategy, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Prior experience in the medical device or healthcare industry required.
- Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in financial software/tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, BI tools).
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to diverse audiences.
- Proven leadership and team management experience, with a track record of building high-performing teams.
Salary range
- $200,000 - $240,000 base salary per year
- Compensation for the role is based on geographical location.
- Compensation also depends on a number of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
