About the Role
The Director of Continuous Improvement will lead the development and execution of Lean, Six
Sigma, and other operational excellence initiatives across the company. This role will partner
closely with manufacturing, quality, R&D, and supply chain teams to identify opportunities,
implement best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement aligned with
regulatory and business goals.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Develop and execute the continuous improvement strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.
- Lead and support cross-functional process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Establish metrics, dashboards, and KPIs to track improvement efforts and drive accountability.
- Coach and mentor teams in Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and other improvement activities.
- Drive standardization of processes and documentation across departments.
- Partner with Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure improvements meet FDA and ISO compliance requirements.
- Support scale-up of manufacturing and operations processes as the company grows.
- Other duties as assigned.
On Your First Day We’d Like You to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in operations or process improvement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in a medical device or regulated manufacturing environment required.
It’s Great If You Have
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
- Proven success implementing continuous improvement programs in a fast-paced, startup or scale-up environment.
- Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, influence, and change management skills.
