About the Role

This is a part-time, on-site role located in the San Francisco Bay Area for an Accounting Assistant. The Accounting Assistant will support the finance team by performing a wide range of administrative and financial tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices and payments, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will also assist in preparing financial reports, monitoring budgets, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Part-time, 10 hours/week | Flexible hybrid schedule (onsite & remote)

Basic responsibilities

  • Process and reconcile expense reports in accordance with company policy
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to the procure-to-pay cycle, including purchase orders, invoices, payments, and corporate credit cards
  • Manage incoming mail by sorting, scanning, and routing documents to the appropriate stakeholders
  • Review and approve purchase order coding on behalf of the accounting function, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Support audit preparation by assembling and organizing required documentation, and contribute to ad hoc accounting projects as needed
